![]() The sub-classes are not official they are simply based on what weapons you equip and what spells you use.Īs you level you can invest points into attributes that will further allow you to focus in on one tree. Warrior subclasses include tank, rogue, and berserker. They are however vulnerable to magic and range and have problems breaking gaps. They are purely melee and are able to soak a lot of melee damage. They are not as vulnerable as mages in melee because of leather and are also capable of kiting. They have a higher range than a mage and a faster attack rate. Mages have many sub-classes involving various schools of magic (Shock, Fire, Earth, or Death). They are also restricted to wearing cloth. They deal high damage but are vulnerable to melee attacks. Mage is a ranged class that deals in magic. After successfully escaping you are introduced to a Prophet who sets you on your adventure with the end goal being the death of Galahar.Īs you move in the game you train yourself to one of three dispositions: Mage, Warrior, or Ranger. He uses you to feed your sister for some odd ritual that isn’t quite explained.Īs you are imprisoned you are rescued by a group of Orcs, a small race after their slaughter. He captures your sister and imprisons you. Upon introduction you meet your nemesis Galahar. The unnamed hero of this game is introduced as the brother of a powerful sorceress from the first game. ![]() Reality Pump rode on this popularity by releasing a DLC called “Pirates of the Floating Fortress.” The new content would have you travel on a pirate ship throughout the land with another 20 hour campaign to do. The game sold 3M copies total making it one of the more popular games of 2011. They were riddled with bugs that made them almost unplayable. The Xbox 360/PS3 releases of this game once again did not work. The release of Two Worlds 2 was just as bad as the original. Two Worlds 2 was made possible by its European popularity. Many people looked at Two Worlds as just another Elder Scrolls game, a sand box world with free roam side quests. The game was however quite the success in Europe as the gritty real adventures appealed heavily to a more mature audience in Germany. The Xbox 360 release didn’t work and the PC release had such high computer spec requirements (even on lowest settings) that people didn’t buy it. It would be available for the Xbox 360 and the PC. Two Worlds was also set to jump into a multi-platform release. On the cover of Two Worlds is a picture of a scantily clad woman. This Polish developed RPG would feature realism, nudity and foul language… all of the sort of things that attract a young mind. I felt with such high computer requirements this game would be the one I could finally come back to.īut now, on to my review. I had to upgrade my power supply to 750W. At first I could not play it because it was wiping out my computer. I chose this game from a list of games on the Black Friday Steam Sales list and was interested in this game. I mean some of them (like Fallout) are but a lot of them that require precision shooting are not. I don’t count first person shooter RPGs as really RPGs. So this is realistically my first RPG in quite some time. I will say that I did play Mario and Luigi Battle in Time for the Nintendo DS… but that’s hardly a RPG… just something I did at my lame job to pass time. It was just a pretty terrible game and it was obvious to me that RPGs much like RTSes were falling behind the time. I played through that game twice and it just never got any better. The first 2 hours of the bloody game is just video.įable was sort of the last straw for me. I fell apart from the group adventurers RPG pretty much as soon as Final Fantasy 10 came out, that game sucked ass. Some of my favorites are still those dungeon RPGs that focus around you first person running through dungeons and building yourself up. It’s not that I don’t like RPGs it’s just that I never had time for RPGs in my life. ![]() How long? Well, the last non-MMO RPG I played was probably Fable. I can honestly say it has been a long time since I played a fantasy RPG.
